Owner/Pediatric DentistDr. Melissa Connell—affectionately known as Dr. C—brings nearly 30 years of diverse dental experience to High Tide Pediatric Dentistry. She began her career serving on the Navajo reservation in Arizona as an Officer with the Indian Health Service, earning an isolated hardship award for her dedication. Dr. C's broad experience spans academic, public health, private, and corporate dental practice, culminating in the successful launch of her own Chicago dental office in 2009, which she sold in 2024 to relocate and serve the Bluffton, SC community. For Dr. C, dentistry is a family and community affair. With her three children—Stella, Zoe, and James—involved in her small businesses, she is passionate about fostering entrepreneurship and supporting local families. Her commitment to quality pediatric dental care is matched by her love for fitness, food, travel, and service. Inspired by gratitude and her Christian values, Dr. C's mission is to create a calm, welcoming dental home built on integrity and lasting community connections.
